I like Maloney, but in all honesty, for me, he loses a lot of his intellectual credibility when he discounts Roswell. I’d like to hear him debate Stan Friedman.

yup Peggy I don’t get it either? I’ve listened to Chase kloetzke get on him about that… I like him allot though and his podcast is really good. I just got UFO’s during Wartime but haven’t had the time to read it, it sounds like a really good book. but hey, we all have our beliefs.

Guys, I am a retired U.S. Navy, Twenty years of U.S.Naval Aviation with my last 6 working with the SH-60B Seahawk. I have been to AUTEC, in the Andros Island, Bahamas. That is NOT the Navy’s area 51 as it was stated on this show. Wow, I couldn’t believe my ears when I heard that crap. Is just a Submarine, ships, and anti-submarine training base. We all go there to get Torpedo and Penguin missile Qualified as it is required to do every so often. It also is the place to test submarines equipment, Helicopters and all anti-submarine aircraft that we have. Nice area for submarines to play hide and seek with us. In addition, we can drop training torpedoes and is the place where the magnetic signatures of ships are detected and catalog. All ships have a magnetic signature and we can tell what ship it is just by it but before we can do that, we need to get a snapshot of it. All ships also get Degaussed at intervals as it is needed as ships tend to get a bigger magnetic field as time goes by just by normal use. We UN-magnetized the ships to their minimum magnetic signature. The only secret of the place is the outstanding food that they serve!!!! Amazing cafeteria! Which I could say more about swimming and having fun at the club but, the Navy is a working military. we don’t get much time off. Anyway, That guys is barking at the wrong tree. believe me, I have nothing to hide from being there other than the extra pounds from eating.

Hi Angel, Thank you for the comment. I posted your comment on the forum, as Mack is our Guest Star for a few days.

      Here is his reply:

I appreciate the comments about AUTEC, and salute the writer for his service to our country. Everything he said about activities at AUTEC I’m sure is true. But the point I was trying to make is that there have been numerous UFO and USO sightings in the area of AUTEC. These sightings go back for years and have been made by residents of the area, Navy personnel and even civilians working at AUTEC itself. The Navy claims they have no evidence or knowledge of these sightings, while at the same time operating billions of dollars worth of monitoring equipment which can spot anything moving in the water or in the air for hundreds of miles around. In my opinion that can only mean one of two things: the billions of dollars of monitoring equipment at AUTEC doesn’t work too well, or the Navy is being less than truthful about UFO/USO activity in the area.

Well, I don’t see it that way. I see a third option; nothing really happened and the Navy didn’t feel like to deal about talking about nothing. The Navy is its own world and we really don’t hold back any punches. Believe me, I have read every book on UFO and books on the paranormal when I was growing up. I would love nothing more than to see something strange and real but, in 51 years of life, I have never, never seen anything that couldn’t be explain with science. I would like to believe but, I live in reality, in a world of science, common sense, and logic.
The Navy have some expensive and unique equipment in there but they are not there to look around for ghosts. It cost money to run the equipment, money that the Navy doesn’t have. we run the equipment as needed for tests and our job there. We also pay a lot of money to civilians to work there and we are not paying overtime to anyone. The Navy just doesn’t have a wallet like the Air Force does. We are not running the equipment 24-7. If any of those sighting happened when no test was in progress, we would not have had the equipment on. And, as always, if the thing seen was something the civilian are not to know about as of yet (military equipment), they obviously are going to deny it. The only drawback on that respect is, that we really don’t have anything special in the air, maybe the new stealth boats (USO?) have come around, actually, if they are on the east Coast, they would have had to come by for the magnetic measurement. I am sure that if anything unique, strange, or abnormal ever happened there, I would have heard something about it. We, in the military (specially the Navy), like to tell Sea Stories and spread rumors. I have heard nothing ever, not while I was there talking to everyone and anyone I came into contact and nothing from the hundreds or even thousands of personnel that have been there before and after my visit.
Now, that said. I really enjoy the podcast and truly want to hear more from you and everyone else. Like I said, I might be a skeptical but in the other hand, I am hoping to be proven wrong. I just have a much higher bar to be reach than most. Keep up the good work and prove me wrong!
