In this wide ranging, in person conversation, Martin Willis sits down with Lue Elizondo for a candid discussion about where the UAP issue stands today and what may come next. Elizondo reveals that he has returned to the Washington, D.C. area and says he is once again working for the U.S. government, supporting government efforts while continuing to advocate for greater transparency and disclosure surrounding UAP. Although he cannot discuss the specifics of his current role, he says he was asked to return and remains actively involved behind the scenes. The conversation explores why some UAP information remains classified, the challenges of disclosure, and whether the government itself actually understands the full scope of the phenomenon. Elizondo also discusses the secrecy restrictions he says prevent him from talking about alleged crash retrieval programs, including a document he signed that he says remains binding for life. Martin asks about the long discussed 23 minute UAP video, and Elizondo says he believes it will eventually be seen publicly, but adds that even more compelling footage exists, including imagery of objects reportedly coming extremely close to military aircraft. They also discuss recently released NASA material, unusual observations associated with the Moon, historical UAP performance characteristics, and Elizondo’s view that some of what has been observed cannot reasonably be attributed to secret American technology. Elizondo also responds to recent claims involving Ross Coulthart, saying information reported about him and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper was inaccurate, while making clear that he continues to respect Coulthart and his contributions to disclosure. The discussion goes deeper into the implications of UAP. What if humanity is not at the top of the technological hierarchy? How much of reality are our biological senses incapable of perceiving? And what happens to society when long held assumptions about our place in the universe begin to change? Finally, Martin gets a rare glimpse of the person behind the public figure as Elizondo discusses his fascination with time, restoring vintage mechanical watches, and why bringing an old timepiece back to life has such personal meaning for him. A candid and far reaching conversation with Lue Elizondo about UAP, secrecy, disclosure, government, science, the unknown, and the human side of one of the most recognizable figures in the modern UAP discussion. Hosted by Martin Willis, Podcast UFO.
BIO: Luis “Lue” Elizondo is a former U.S. Army counterintelligence special agent and senior Department of Defense intelligence official who became one of the most prominent figures in the modern UAP disclosure movement. While working at the Pentagon, Elizondo was involved with the Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications Program, or AAWSAP, and the subsequent Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, AATIP, which investigated unidentified aerial phenomena encountered by U.S. military personnel. His work included examination of military UAP cases and imagery, including incidents associated with the now-famous FLIR, GIMBAL and GOFAST videos. After leaving the Department of Defense in 2017, Elizondo publicly advocated for greater government transparency regarding UAP and helped bring renewed national attention to the subject. He later appeared in the History Channel series Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation and has testified before Congress about UAP, government secrecy and alleged programs associated with the phenomenon. He is also the author of the bestselling memoir Imminent: Inside the Pentagon’s Hunt for UFOs, which recounts his intelligence career and his involvement in the government’s investigation of UAP.
