Edwin C. May, Psychic Spies, the Russians, & Research: The inside Story

Edwin C. May, PhD discusses what it was like being involved with the Stargate Project, and the fascinating results that remote viewing and ESP garnered. Bio: Edwin C. May, Ph.D. is internationally known for his work in parapsychology. Having spent the first part of his research career in his chosen Ph.D.-degreed discipline, Low Energy, Experimental Nuclear Physics, he became interested in serious parapsychology in 1971. At that time, he was peripherally involved in a psychokinesis (i.e. putative mind over matter) experiment that was being conducted informally in the physics department at the University of California at Davis. Starting in August 1974, Dr. May spent nearly a year in India researching so-called psychic phenomena with Yogis and other Masters. In 1975, he returned to the States and worked for eight months with Charles Honorton at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. It was there where he was introduced to formal research parapsychology. Beginning in 1976, Dr. May joined the on-going, U.S. Government-sponsored work at SRI International (formerly called Stanford Research Institute). In 1985, he inherited the program directorship of what was now called the Cognitive Sciences Program. Dr. May shifted that program to Science Applications International Corporation in 1991. Dr. May’s association with government-sponsored parapsychology research ended in 1995, when the program, now called STAR GATE, was closed. SOURCE: http://archived.parapsych.org/members…

PEMA (Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency) and UFOs

by Author, Charles Lear

After Project Blue Book was deactivated in 1969, civilians were left with no official government body prepared to deal with UFO reports. This is still the case (the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office only takes reports from military personnel) and this has left local agencies, such as the police, as the organizations that people often turn to, and each one handles reports in its own way. It recently came as a surprise to Pennsylvania state representatives during a budget meeting when it was mentioned that UFO reports were received by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency. Records recently acquired from PEMA provide an inside look into how they were handled by organizations in that state. Read more

JONATHAN’S 2001 INTERVIEW: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UdEVUum8Nag&t=24s

Operation Laser Strike was a counter narcotics operation headed up by Southern Command  in Panama. Commanded by Major Bob Cole and Master Sergeant Chris Diggons, units from 2d Marine Division (2d SRIG & 7th Comm Bn.) and 2d Marine Aircraft Wing (MACG-28, MACS-6, MWCS-28, 2d LAAD, MASS-2, & MTACS-28) were ordered to Pacullpa, Peru in April, 1996. The GO/NO GO games lasted until August before we finally went. We headed to Howard AFB in Panama to stage out of (directly attached to the Air Force’s 612th Tactical Aircraft Group) and flew to Peru in a combination of Air Force, Air Force Reserve, Air National Guard, and Southern Air Transport (?) C-130s during the first week. Once we got there we all got busy setting up equipment and building fighting positions. We were assisted by host nation air control liaison and our security was augmented by Peruvian Air Force (FAP), all under the command of Comandante Oviedo. Our mission was to integrate into an air, land, and sea radar surveillance command and control system to identify airborne narco traffickers.

Pictures of UFOs Over an Oil Rig in Mexico

by Charles Lear, author of the new book: Crashed Saucers

In our blog headlined “UFOs Over Scottsdale,” posted on April 15, 2024, we looked at a report of a blue, worm-like UFO captured on video over Scottsdale, Arizona. The main sources were two tabloid news agencies, Daily Mail and The US Sun, and their source was video footage posted on Instagram and Twitter/X. The reporters of both agencies failed to provide a date for the incident, properly represent witnesses, or make mention of the fact that Scottsdale is home to a UFO museum/attraction called “The UFO Experience.” We came across another intriguing case this week covered in the Mail and the Sun (U.K. edition), and this time, the reporting is much more thorough and reveals a long-standing belief by locals that there is an underwater alien base in the area. Rowley Regis UFO Era Encounter

Rowley Regis UFO Era Encounter

Dad’s story goes like this: he was riding home on his bike one evening, late 70s I think (I’d left home not long before so after 77) between 9.30 and 10.15, as was his custom. He became aware of an unusually bright light in the sky looking westwards, which was to his left, which didn’t actually move. In fact, it seemed to be following him.
(At this point, a note on Dad: he was an RAF radar operator in WW2, Japanese POW, atheist and certainly not given to flights of fancy or imaginings.)
His take on UFOs was that any FO is U until it is I, then it is an IFO, and when it lands it’s an O. This one was behaving very strangely indeed, in that it was not exhibiting any of the behaviour he would expect from any celestial body, or any aircraft that he was familiar with: not even a helicopter coming directly towards him, which does give the illusion of being stationary.
This object continued to move with him until he pulled into our garden, and came in to the lounge. He looked out of the front window (we had a through room, windows on two sides) – and there was the object. Now that made him jump: it was not actually in the place he’d expect. It had moved to follow him into the house and became visible through that window! If it had stayed in the same place as it was when he was cycling, it would not have been visible as we lived in a row of terraced houses and his estimation of the expected location was that it would be hidden by the other houses.
He went to bed and left the curtains open, and the object was still visible through the window. Closer to midnight it just vanished…
and then a short while later it returned, again to the exact same spot.
Now if you can match it up with the rough timings in the reported Rowley Regis UFO they seem to match.
He never saw anything like it again.
Mom was with him while he was at home and witnessed what happened. Both are now deceased and have been for 20 (Dad) and 25 years (Mom).
To his dying day, Dad was adamant that it had been a UFO, and when he got to hear about the incident with the woman who saw the craft and its occupants, he was going to contact the local press with his experience – but Mom persuaded him not to as she didn’t want every journalist in the country turning up and labelling them as cranks!

BREAKING NEWS: UFO Over the Verrazano Narrows, LaGuardia Airport New York

by Charles Lear, author of “The Flying Saucer Investigators.” & a new book to be released!

Verrazano UFO

Just this week, video of a UFO taken by a passenger on a plane coming in for a landing at LaGuardia Airport in Queens, New York, made international news. Video footage of UFOs constantly appears online and more often than not leads to a dead end for researchers trying to identify witnesses or turns out to be faked. In this case, not only was the witness identified, but she appeared on News Nation for an interview, along with a researcher looking into the case who considered the video to be authentic.

The witness is Michelle Reyes, who was capturing video of the New York skyline while sitting next to her daughter, who had the window seat. The Verrazano Bridge is centered in the frame as a black, elongated, oval-shaped UFO goes whizzing by from right to left, which in this case is northeast to southwest. Reyes posted the video on Facebook, and researcher/investigator Ben Hansen (who was a guest on PodcastUFO on February 16, 2021) managed to find her and interview her. Read more

A 1977 UFO Contactee Case

by Charles Lear, author of “The Flying Saucer Investigators.” & a new book to be released!

The February-March 1977 issue of the UFO Newsclipping Service, has four articles describing what would become “classic” UFO cases. One looks into the report (page 12 of the pdf) of nine-year-old Jose Cantu who said he saw “two greenish creatures about three feet tall, who rotated on a base instead of having feet, and two ‘steely’ crafts in which 2 other creatures were sitting.” His drawing showing one of the creatures with only one eye has caused them to be dubbed “The Cycloptic Aliens of Harrah.” The other three articles describe two abduction cases that have become well-known, one involving Judy Kendall covered in two papers from California, and one involving three women: Elaine Thomas, Louise Smith, and Mona Stafford covered in a paper from their home state, Kentucky. By this time, abduction claims and creature reports had come out from under the umbrella of contactee reports and the stigma that came with this association thanks to cases such as the 1973 Pascagoula Incident and the 1975 Travis Walton Incident, and news agencies were more open to reporting on them. That being said, there is an obscure case reported (page 3) in the February 2, 1977, Clarkesville, Tennessee, Leaf Chronicle, that has aspects of a contactee case, and the story told by the man who said he had an encounter with otherworldly beings is strange to the point of being ridiculous. Even so, the reporter who covered it wrote about it with a good deal of objectivity and restraint.

Simulcast on KGRA Digital Broadcasting, YouTube, Facebook, Rumble & Twitch – Tuesday, April 16, 2024 @ 7:30 PM EDT (-4GMT)

BIO: Kevin Day is a retired U.S. Navy Senior Chief Operations Specialist who specialized in radar systems. He is a TOPGUN air intercept controller with more than 20 years experience in strike group air defense including war-time operations. In November of 2004, off the coast of San Diego, Kevin was a radar operator on the USS Princeton, part of the USS Nimitz Carrier Strike Group. Over several days unknown objects were observed on radar. On several occasions, aircraft were directed to find the objects. The pilots reported seeing 40 foot-long Tic Tac shaped objects that performed remarkable maneuvers beyond the capability of our aircraft. This incident was made famous in a New York Times article in December 2017 in which it was also revealed the Pentagon had a secretive UFO investigation program.
