BIO: Martin Willis, has harbored a fascination with the subject of UFOs since his formative years. Initially wavering in his beliefs, his encounter with a UFO in Carmel Valley, CA, in 2007 served as an epiphany, solidifying his conviction in the existence of Unidentifiable Flying Objects. Since that transformative moment, Martin has attentively followed discussions surrounding the phenomenon, maintaining a stance of cautious skepticism tempered by an ever-open mind.

With a firm belief that the truth behind UFOs/UAPs may forever elude us, including the enigmatic stance of governments such as the US, Martin regards the exploration of this mystery as one of paramount importance and unparalleled excitement. His interest in astronomy underscores his conviction that humanity is not alone in the universe, fueling a steadfast scientific curiosity regarding the vast cosmos.

As a passionate advocate for the UFO community, Martin founded the acclaimed Podcast UFO in November 2011, conducting over 600 illuminating interviews on the subject (2024). His expertise and dedication have led to prestigious speaking engagements, including serving as the keynote speaker at the Pine Bush UFO Conference in 2022 and as a speaker at the Shag Harbour UFO Expo in in Nova Scotia, 2023. In 2024, he spoke at the Skywatchers Amateur Astronomers Club in South Carolina, had the role of Master of Ceremonies for the Annual MUFON International Symposium in Texas as well as the Shag Harbour UFO Expo in Nova Scotia (2024 & slated for 2025), further cementing his standing within the UFO community.

A UFO, Creature, and MiB Report from the Broad Haven Triangle

by UFO History Buff & Author, Charles Lear

The reported sighting on February 4, 1977, of a UFO and creature by students at the Broad Haven Primary School in Pembrokeshire, Wales, was the beginning of a flap throughout the county. The area where reports were most concentrated has been dubbed “The Broad Haven Tringle.” Multiple witnesses were willing to go on record, including with the Ministry of Defense, saying they had seen not only strange craft, but silver-suited creatures as well. One dramatic encounter was recalled by a witness for Episode 3 of the 2023 series, Encounters, produced for Netflix by Steven Spielberg’s company. While this is many years later, the story told by the witness is the same as that told by the witness to an investigator who spoke to her and her mother closer to the event just months later. A UFO Falls to the Ground in Yorkshire, England

By Charles Lear

In 1957, the same year the Soviets launched Sputnik, British authorities, media, and citizenry had their attention drawn back down to Earth as they attempted to unravel the mystery of a flying saucer said to have been found laying in a moor. It was dismantled, studied, and opinions were divided between its having come from space and its having been manufactured right here on Earth. Over time, the saucer went missing, but the mystery as to its origin remained. Then, in 2018, pieces of the saucer and its mysterious contents were found in the archives of the Science Museum in London.

The case was first reported in the December 9, 1957 Yorkshire Post in an article headlined “Mystery Object Found on Scarborough Moors” with the sub-headline “Has Unusual Hieroglyphics.” It was written about in detail in the March-April 1958 issue of Flying Saucer Review.

According to the Flying Saucer Review article headlined “The Silpho Moor Mystery,” a man “who writes under the pen name Antony Avendel” had examined an object discovered lying in Silpho Moor near Scarborough. The object is described as being shaped like a top, weighing 35 pounds, having a diameter of 18 inches, and having hieroglyphics on its outside. It was made of a double skin of 3/16” copper. A “burnt powdery substance” was found inside along with a copper book rolled up and inserted into a coil of copper tubing. The book was made of 17 copper sheets containing over 2000 words “engraved in phonetic-type symbols.”

UFOs and Astronauts

By Charles Lear

Gordon Cooper

As one might expect, astronauts have come upon things in space that they were not able to readily identify. In fact, astronauts have not only reported seeing UFOs, but some, most notably Gordon Cooper and Dr. Edgar Mitchell, have gone so far as to publicly advocate for disclosure and an end to secrecy regarding the subject.

Gordon Cooper described having encounters with UFOs as an Air Force pilot prior to his involvement in the space program. In his 2000 memoir, “Leap of Faith: An Astronaut’s Journey Into the Unknown,” Gordon wrote that he chased saucer-shaped craft when he was stationed in Germany in the 1950s, and that objects flew over the base daily that were faster than known man-made machines. He also claimed to have been given film in 1957 of a saucer that landed at Edwards Air Force Base, which he sent off to the Pentagon and never saw again.

In spite of his alleged UFO encounters in Earth’s atmosphere, Cooper claimed that neither he nor any other astronauts had seen UFOs while in space. According to him, there was nothing to the well-known report that he saw a green glowing object approach his craft during his final orbit in May 1963 aboard Mercury Faith 7 while over Australia.

The Portage County UFO Chase

by Charles Lear

In 1966, there was a UFO case that involved a chase and sightings by multiple police witnesses. In addition to their testimonies, there was a reported radar confirmation and a possible pilot witness. Faced with all this evidence, the initial Air Force investigation consisted of two phone calls to a single witness. Based on interviews lasting a total of around four minutes, the conclusion was that the officers had seen a satellite and chased the planet Venus. The case was re-evaluated after a more thorough investigation, thanks to the efforts of an outraged congressman, and the conclusion was . . .  that the officers had seen a satellite and chased the planet Venus.

On the morning of April 17, 1966, two sheriff deputies, Dale Spaur and Wilbur “Barney” Neff, chased a UFO from Portage County, Ohio, for 86 miles all the way into Pennsylvania. They chased the object at speeds ranging from 80 mph to 105 mph and, according to them, there were times when the object actually stopped and waited for them to catch up to it. Other law enforcement officers witnessed the object after being alerted by radio communications between the deputies and their dispatcher.

The strangeness began at 4:30 a.m. A call came over the radio informing the deputies that a woman in Summit County had reported seeing a bright object that flew low over her property. She said it was moving towards Portage County. Spaur and Neff laughed it off and went on with their schedule of spot-checks.

At around 5:00 a.m., they saw an abandoned vehicle on Route 224 near Ravenna, and got out of their car to investigate. According to Spaur, he was in the habit of looking behind him to make sure no one was sneaking up on him.  He turned around and saw a light over the trees of a nearby hill. He alerted Neff, and as they watched, it moved over the police car and hovered. They could now see it was an object 35 to 40 feet wide, with a bright, white glow that lit up the area around the car. It hummed “like a loaded transformer.” Read more

Chevron-shaped Object Witnessed in Burnaby, B.C., Canada

Chevron-shaped Object Witnessed in Burnaby, B.C., Canada

Image is a mock-up by witness

While walking, at about 10:45 pm, on October 16th, 2020, in a
semi-urban area of Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, I witnessed a
huge, chevron-shaped object. It was moving at a slow rate, roughly
1,4oo feet above sea level (based on the approximate altitude of
clouds blowing past.) It was flying opposite the direction of a high
wind, east to west. It appeared to be several times the size of an
airliner. The object was running without lights, illuminated only by
the moon and light sources on the ground. It seemed to reflect the
ambient color of the sky around it, or may have been semi-transparent.
I heard no sound whatsoever. I was able to observe it clearly for
about one minute, before it was obscured by clouds and light
pollution.
