Recently I attended the July 26, 2023 UAP Hearing in Washington, DC, and spoke with a number of people there on several topics. It is almost rare that Bob Lazar’s name does not come up sooner or later. People seem to think the whistleblowers claims are a vindication of Lazar’s claims. Jeremy Corbell is friends with both David Fravor, as well as Bob Lazar, and unfortunately, Fravor is relying on Jeremy’s account of Bob Lazar’s claims and most likely has not taken any time at all to do any research. As I reflect since I have written the blog below in June of 2022, I have a new speculation. Under any possible circumstances, the US government would not have hired Bob Lazar, all you have to do is commit to reading my entire blog below, and looking at my links and sources. The more I contemplate Lazar over the years, the more I believe he actually knew someone who worked at Area 51, was told some of what was going on, and decided to take on that person’s persona. This would explain a lot, and answer all the reasons why he seemed to have known some of the things he knew and talked about. If you do the research work that I have done, you will find it impossible that he would have actually been the one that was hired, had a top level security clearance and worked there. He has done a remarkable job convincing so many, my hat is off to him for that. The government involved in Area 51, probably think it is a perfect disinformation campaign (some truth & fantasy) that diverts attention away from what they may be developing there. Maybe that original person did see craft and was tasked to attempt to reverse engineer. The government has never had an opinion on Bob Lazar that I can find, and if he were telling the truth, it seems they would have taken action.
The original blog is below… thank you for reading.

“Don’t bother me with the facts, my mind is made up!” ~ Stanton Friedman
As a fine art & antique appraiser, I often get involved in collections of art, documents, coins and more. During my fieldwork, if I come upon a determined fake in the mix, I end up questioning the whole collection. I feel the same way about people, if I am told a lie, I question whatever else they have to say.
I personally would love to believe Bob Lazar’s story, it would be incredible and world changing if true.
I do think Bob is highly intelligent and I do believe that the publicity he has created on the UFO topic has created a lot of good for getting people’s attention. There are some things Bob has spoken about that hint of inside knowledge, Element 115 the least of them. Perhaps there was a connection with someone that John Lear knew, this is only my speculation.
Some suggest that there is no apparent motivation or gain he had to motivate the story. I have not been able to find anything definitive on whether he has profited or not, only speculation that he has. Perhaps fame was a motive, again, I am speculating.
The fact is, Bob Lazar has no doubt lied about his education. To confirm this, I have a close friend who works in the records department at MIT, and has performed a “deep search” for him. This person has stated that they have far reaching search capability, beyond what was available in the past. There is absolutely no way that any entity, including our government could have expunged all records of his attendance and living anywhere in the area. There is nothing at all, and not a single classmate or professor has ever come forward to attest his attendance. During a public forum, Bob was asked what Boston Square was known outside of MIT, and he said he could not remember. If you ask anyone that ever attended MIT the same question, they would reply, “Kendall Square”.
Please take the time to read Stanton Friedman’s article on Bob Lazar’s education . (note 12/06/23) Stanton’s website is currently down. I am trying to help to revive it.
Here is some research into Bob Lazar’s Education.
FACT: In high school, he ranked 261 out of 369, which is in the bottom third. MIT or Caltech would never admit such a student. The evidence points more to him being an electronics technician with a two-year degree from a community college.
After I watched Jeremy’s Corbell’s movie on Lazar, (Bob Lazar: Area 51 & Flying Saucers) I asked him why he did not ask Bob’s mother about her son’s education at MIT while he was interviewing her. You can see his response in the Facebook message exchange. This film has convinced a swath of people that Bob’s story is golden, but not me. If you take the time to research things deeply, you will find there is nothing convincing enough and plenty to question.
I respect George Knapp’s work, but I do believe he is wrong in his backing of Lazar. George is deeply invested in the story and may feel he can never recant at this point. It is a tough place to be in, but I find it difficult to believe that a man with his intelligence has bought the story, hook, line and sinker. There are many circumstances in the Bob Lazar story where things appear to be selectively forced to fit.
In this blog you will see an LA Times article on Bob’s bizarre tale at a 1993 conference, some documents including a 1990 arrest document, where Lazar pleaded guilty to pandering (his partnership in an illegal brothel), his later denial, a 2006 telling plea agreement and last but not least, a white style paper by Michael Schratt with the investigative work of John Andrews. To me, the most telling in this paper is, the claim of an above Q clearance which supposedly was obtained in 8 days. (It is more like 8 months on average for the process.) As a self employed photo processor, he claimed bankruptcy a year prior to his supposed clearance approval. Would the US government give the highest clearance available to someone who owed over $270,000 to creditors and filed Chapter 7 two years prior? Would the government hire someone for the most advanced job in the history of mankind, to reverse engineer alien spacecraft to someone with no known higher education than courses at a junior college? Also, the W-2 he supplied from Naval Intelligence (titled wrong) is another fraud, the Employee Number belongs to the IRS. In Michael Schratt’s paper, you will see the evidence of all of this.
There is a really interesting thread on Reddit well researched with links to documents HERE.
I encourage you to watch body language experts, the Behavior Panel’s observation of Bob’s accounting over the years. Click HERE. You will see some major discrepancies in Bob’s own words. Many people claim his story has been consistent, after you watch this, you will see proof that it has not been so.
Could Bob’s story be partially true? That is up to you to decide after you review everything.
This is a pretty hard sell trying to debunk Bob credibility. This is especially apparent comparing your novice research to George Nap’s professional credentials. The main point you tried to make in not believing his story is that he did some dumb things while young. Maybe he’s a rebel and maybe he was bored at school. You have to at least need to drop him a solid and at least say he’s smart.
You obviously did not read through, especially the paper by Michael Schratt.
I understand how a paper can persuade you; however, it is one paper. The paper cited Bob not proving his degrees at the colleges he attended but it wouldn’t help. The skeptics would say they were fake like Obama’s birth certificate. I honestly would at least drop the guy a solid that no one before Bob mentioned area 51, s4 or ufo propulsion theories. Who has offered any information before or after Bob. Logically, if he weren’t telling the truth, he would be one of the best fiction sci-fi writers than running a small business. Sorry Martin it’s a huge stretch to say he isn’t telling the truth.
Too bad you did not read through everything. If I get this correctly, he can tell several lies about many things, not just his education but he is telling the truth about working on alien crafts?
You’re correct that I didn’t read through everything because it was too painful. Again it is one paper and seems like splitting hairs regarding his past. I think believe this is making you lose sight of the bigger picture and his contribution. I would like you to announce on air betting your reputation on him lying. Or at the very least say that he’s bright but you don’t believe him. You have to admit he is bright. You might want to consider reaching out to him. Have you ever met him?
One paper? Did you even read anything at all? I have announced many times that I do not believe him on air. He is bright (I say highly intelligent in my blog). Does that make his story true? Let’s not bother with the facts, the mind is made up.
I watched The Body Language Panel re Lazar, and amidst the nervous giggles and usual condescension, was disappointed to hear that they had made their mind up from the beginning, with statements such as “If there’s one thing I know about the universe, it’s that it is consistent.” Better body language analysis (where an open mind and no bias is adopted – just body language and verbal analysis) carried out on Lazar can be seen at:
Bruce Durham – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGL52L7btLw
Derek Van Schaik – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpN5PjOxHbo
Derek Van Schaik also offers compelling analysis on:
> The recent Congress Hearing on UAP
> ‘Proof’ that US Presidents are lying about UFO/ ETs
> The pathological liar Randy Cramer (Super Soldier)
Van Schaik also has a habit of calling out a subject very early on, based on body language and verbal analysis, as opposed to The Body Language Panel who wait until it’s obvious to all and sundry what the reality is.
Thank you, I did remember that the panel had said they would have wanted to believe. I will look into the links, thanks again.
An interesting perspective, though I’m still prepared to believe Bob Lazar.
After all these years, his story has remained consistent, even though he hasn’t been (to my knowledge) profiteering from it.
And then there’s the details that are in plain sight. Some of his inventions are remarkable for a private undertaking, such as his jet and hydrogen car conversions.
He also is a gifted professor, explaining complex concepts in a way that are very easy to understand, regardless of topic. That he runs a science equipment shop — and even his geeky T-shirt choices throughout Corbell’s film — are a testament to an ongoing fascination with science.
It is plausible to me that he would be exactly the kind of outsider that would have made him attractive to pull into a program to try to solve a mystery where others had purportedly failed.
Martin, it is so disappointing reading your posts, full of ignorance, arrogance…like a whole different person than on live show. Your “arguments” are so ridiculous that I don’t even want to engage in explaining. Drop pretty much summed it up.
Novice google research vs George Nap’s professional credential.
I just want people to see the truth, I am disappointed people like you that either skim or do not look through anything at all. Name a single ridiculous argument that I made.
Kudos to Martin for giving his reasons for not believing the Lazar story. He is not just saying the story is fake, then folding his arms and giving us the “raspberry” like a six-year-old.
Martin, to his credit, points to information researchers have gathered on the man and the myth that have, for Martin at least, diminished the credibility of the tale. He is not acting or reacting with ignorance and arrogance, that is just a ridiculous statement. Martin also always acknowledges that Bob Lazar seems to be a highly intelligent person.
The way I see it, if this where a case to be tried by a jury in a court of law, the evidence at this moment in time barring anything “credible” becoming immediately available (sorry, the J. Corbell version of the story provided and proved nothing) would be laughed out of the court room by judge and jury.
I am somewhat still on the fence regarding the story myself, mostly out of sentiment I think, good memories of long nights listening to Art Bell.
One more thing, (George) “Knapp”, not “Nap”.
Reading is fundamental…
Thank you, at least one pleasant comment from someone reading through!
Why do you have to take sides Martin? Can’t you just share the stories? Bobs explanation how the craft works is best there is. Somebody give better explanation, true or false. Friedman linking to some know-it-all idiot is just stupid. If you know physics you know we don’t know shit about it.
Taking sides? Interesting way to put it… A story it is. Again, another with the mind made up that will never look.
Hi Martin, I listen to your show all the time, from Ireland. Its refreshing to see an article that puts it to Bob Lazar’s story. Frankly I love Bob lazar’s story and whether I believe it or not you can be God damn sure if there is a new video about him or his story… I’m watching it. It brings my mind places not many stories could. I also love listening to James Corbell and have probably watched every video of him I could find, that man is easy to listen to and has a great talent I’m engaging his audience. I enjoyed his movie (Even if the into was abit whacky, 😄). With this being said I feel like a complete neutral in this topic; An urge to want to believe like alot of people. My Issue with Bob Lazar’s story (Again who I genuinely like and enjoy his story & really want to beleive) is the Alein he think he seen (he later cleared up and said maybe he didn’t and his mind might of been in that UFO headspace at the time) though I find it hard to believe in such a high security place they’d have even the smallest window to where an alein might have been.. Though my other thought on this is, maybe he did see an alein and he knows its not believable even if true and it discredits his story in people minds so he thought to stay clear of mentioning miny grey aleins (if It was me, I’d probably leave that part out, it’s just not beleievable). Also, I do really struggle with the name of the square question, this is such a small thing yet if you take away the fact that you see this person talk online and he’s on videos and movies and think about maybe a friend, neighbour or family member in that situation and they couldn’t name a very simple question that surely everyone would know on that campus.. that seems very very irregular and suspect to me, that would be the sort of simple details that can swey opinion. Also, I always here about how trustworthy a guy Bob is despite a really shady past, again if a friend, neighbour or family member was connected and charged with being in connection with an illegal brothel… I’d be very unrtusting of them immediately. However all this doesn’t take away from the intrigued of thee story and my enjoyment of listening to it. One more thing, sorry.. I really think you might of hit the nail on the head with George Knapp.. Again, I love his work but I have the same feeling that on this story he committed to it and maybe his heads in the sand with it, even for top professional in any profession over committed and running with it can happen.
Thanks Martin, Love the passion and content. Continue the great work, you’ve brought many a great thought to my mind at night, in the shower or just when I’m trying to relax and take my mind off things. Goodluck.
Thank you for your thoughtful comment!
