Jonathan went into the Marines in 1995, and in early 1997 he was deployed to Peru in patrol at Operation Laser Strike, which was a drug running intercept program. In March he and his platoon was called out to a crash recovery, possible friendly aircraft. 5-6 Humvees went out for about three hours, then through the jungle on foot. He was up front, called point with two others, and when they came upon the crash site, it was burned through the jungle, like cutting butter with a knife.  They followed the path of the crash and came upon a teardrop, or egg shape craft, embedded in a cliff face with just the rear sticking out. Jonathan dropped his gear and climbed up to it. There was fluid leaking out everywhere, that was changing colors, and the craft was changing colors as well. Some of the fluid got on him and ruined the material of his camouflage, and he lost hair on his arm where it was on him.

He noticed damage to the craft that may have been from a Hawk missile there was a humming noise  and a recessed hole, perhaps a cockpit door. There was an arm hanging out, and he felt as though there were at least two beings, and perhaps they were communicating with him.

He had a hard time talking at all about the rest, but basically men showed up in black camouflage, took over the situation, arrested him, flew him out of there, interrogated him and threatened him for hours, days. His life was made miserable because he decided to speak about the incident with fellow serviceman.
